Our mission is to help authors publish their books. That includes offering all the services you need to take a book from manuscript to marketing, and everything between the covers.

Our Philosophy is that the best motivation for a writer is to hold your published book in your hand. When you discover the realization of that dream, you’ll write another — and it will be even better! In time, you’ll consider your first book practice, but if you don’t get that one published, there might never be another. Publishing your book is the best motivation you can give yourself!

Editing

Authors provide a complete manuscript ready for publishing. Injoy, Inc. provides a final editing process that double checks spelling and word usage, reviews sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and basic style. We also provide notes for the author to fact-check, reword for readability, and scan for errors, omissions, and inconsistencies. However, we do not rewrite the manuscript; you are the writer!

After the editing process, we provide the author a copy of the manuscript that highlights and tracks our revisions and notes, so the author can review and make suggested changes before submitting the final manuscript for publishing. We recommend that the author go through a thorough editing, proofreading and several-step draft and rewriting process, utilizing friends and editors before submitting their manuscript to Injoy, Inc. for our final editing process prior to publishing. Our final editing process prepares the manuscript for publishing, and ensures that the manuscript meets the quality standards of Injoy, Inc., but the author is encouraged to make sure they submit their best and most complete manuscript, by utilizing a thorough editing process before submitting the manuscript to Injoy, Inc.

Book Cover Designs

Using an online graphic portfolio, our authors capture the setting, characters, fonts and even the fashion designs of the characters they’ve created, which our designer then uses to create a custom-designed cover that draws readers into your story from the very first glance.

Each element of the cover design is purposely selected to enhance the style and create a look that typifies what the reader will find when they open the book.

You will enjoy the process of working with our designer to capture the style of your book by bringing your words alive in graphic form.

Even as a first grader, seated at her child-size rolltop desk, Shari longed to write meaningful words, but although her heart was full of desire, her page was full of wordless moonlight. The years passed, and in the midst of the loudness of life, she has heard the still small voice whisper the words to write the stories she has always wanted to tell.

Her first book, Won Without Words, an autobiographical account, filled with encouragement for wives whose husbands are not acting as the spiritual leaders of their family, was published in 2009, and opened the door to renew her love for writing. That book became the catalyst that inspired her to write Speak No Evil within forty days.

Speak No Evil was the first in the youth adventure series, The Livingstone Library, an allegorical set of books for smart kids. That same year she completed Undercover Highschooler and Song of Rebellion, the second volume of the Livingstone Library. Echoes of Thunder and Seeds of the Whirlwind quickly followed, and she is currently writing Volume V of the Livingstone Library, Wrestling Shadows, which combines the allegorical elements of deeper truths with the fun story about a girl and her horse.

Her latest book is the 100 Days to my Anniversary! interactive anniversary card for couples.

Shari and Marc, her husband of almost thirty years, and their three children live in the quiet country of the Ozarks where her office is a bench under the willow boughs, an adirondack on the back deck, a table at the oak-canopied patio, the lazy porch swing, or when nature balks, a comfy wing-back chair indoors, but with a full view of the wooded Ozarks surrounding the home which Marc built for them.

Undercover Highschooler

Have you ever wondered what really goes on in the classroom? Do you wish your highschooler would tell you about his day, but secretly fear to hear the truth? Would you like to be a fly on the wall and see a typical highschool student’s day?

Most highschool students are afraid to be different, but this acocunt is written by a highschool girl who is delightfully different. She had been shielded from the pop culture, didn’t watch network television, had a peer group made up of non-public schooled students, and was curiously naive about the public school culture. She enrolled in public school prepared to be surprised, but was shocked by the differences she observed in her new set of peers. Surprised to discover that the public school culture had shaped these students in a way that was disappointing, unnecessary, and sad, she began to document her days. She discovered that the public school persona is a mask that these students learned to wear en masse, forfeiting their individuality.

Has your child been assimilated by the public school culture, or is it even possible for them to be in the world and not of it, when they have been indoctrinated into that culture for thirteen plus formative life years for nine hours a day? This book might cause you to reconsider the standard assumption that public school is normal and harmless. If you want to raise a child who is a courageous individual, has high self esteem, can think for themselves, and is confidant in their choices to be different, you might read this book for the interesting insight it provides.

This book is a candid and honest appraisal of a typical midwestern highschool public school setting given by a not-so-typical high school junior. Warning: this book contains language and sexual references of a PG-13 nature, perhaps not deemed suitable for very young readers by parents.
